Cookies Policy

Version 2: 26.10.2021

The website of ALTER EGO S.A. hereinafter referred to as "the website", stores cookies on the terminal equipment of its visitors to improve their browsing experience on the website, as well as to measure its traffic. A cookie is a file containing an identification code (a sequence of numbers and letters) which is sent from a server to a browser where it is stored. Each time the browser requests a page from the server, the identification code is sent back to the server.

They are used to facilitate the visitor's/user's access in terms of using specific services and/or pages of the company, for statistical purposes and to determine which areas are useful or popular. These data may also include the type of browser used by the visitor/user, the type of computer, its operating system, the internet service providers, and other such information.

Cookies can be either permanent or relate to a single session (connection). Persistent cookies are stored by the browser and remain active either until their expiration date or until the user deletes them. Those that relate to a single session expire at the end of the connection as soon as the browser is deactivated (closed).

Cookies do not store data that can personalize the user, but personal data stored by the website and relating to users/visitors can be linked to the information stored and can be obtained from cookies.

Only "persistent" cookies are used on the website and in the connected applications, only cookies relating to a single login/session, or both "persistent" cookies and cookies used in a single login/session.

The installation and use of "cookies" is regulated by paragraph 5 of article 4 of Law no. 3471/2006 (which transposed Directive 2002/58/EC into Greek law) according to which the installation and use of "cookies" is only allowed with the user's consent. A website may install such a cookie only if the user has given his or her consent after being clearly and comprehensively informed about the installation, the purpose of the processing, the exercise of the right of access and any recipients of the data. Such consent may be given through appropriate settings in the web browser or through another application.

The names of the cookies used on the site or in connected applications, and the reasons for which they are used, are indicated in the relevant table on the site.
