Halandri 03 December 2020 - Alter Ego Facilities Management, a member of the group of companies of the European Reliance S.A., together with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), was awarded the gold prize at the Facilities Management Awards 2020. The award was for the ‘Implementation of an Integrated Covid-19 Prevention Program’ / category ‘Organization and Process Innnovation’, at the premises of the SNFCC.
In the fourth edition of the Boussias Communications Facilities Management Awards, the companies, organisations, institutions, and service providers that stood out both for their best practices in the overall management of their facilities and for their business activity in an extremely demanding environment were rewarded.
The evaluation focused on the efficiency and preparedness of Alter Ego, through a Business Continuity Plan, which was followed, under the guidance of the SNFCC, from February 2020 for all its services (cleaning, disinfection-disinfection, first aid, etc.). The plan included the creation of a Covid-19 response team, the design and implementation of a training system related to the protection of employees and visitors of the SNFCC, the prevention and response to confirmed outbreaks, the formulation of new dynamic staff work schedules, the specialization of frontline staff teams (mobile cleaning crews), and the planning and selection of effective and innovative decontamination solutions.
This effort was supported by scientific partners and a well-informed team of executives.
Mr. Nikos Gouskos, Deputy General Manager of Alter Ego, said, ‘This distinction makes us very happy, as it is the result of hard work. Many times, we have had to revise our plans to stay one step ahead of developments. The most difficult task was to manage the fear of our people, who also felt safe when they were assured that we were looking after them, their families and every employee and visitor of the SNFCC. We succeeded because we worked strategically and as a team.’
